Frequently asked questions
General FAQ
Do you offer free consultations?
Yes! I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation so we can see if we’re a good fit. It’s casual, no pressure, and a great way to ask questions before committing to an intake session.
Do you see clients in person?
Not right now, all sessions are fully virtual. You can meet with me from anywhere in Massachusetts using a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform.
In the future, my goal is to have an in person office in the Northshore area.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Therapy is a space where you can explore your inner self and decide where you want to go from there. You’re in the drivers seat when it comes to the direction that you want to take your growth.
Do you offer letters for emotional support animals, court, or accommodations?
No, I do not provide ESA letters, court-ordered therapy, or documentation for disability or school accommodations. If you need support, I’m happy to refer you to a provider who specializes in it.
What if I’m in crisis?
I do not provide emergency services. If you’re in immediate danger or having a mental health emergency, please call 911 or 988, or go to your nearest emergency room.

Teen Therapy FAQ
Do you involve parents or caregivers for teen clients?
Yes! I am part of the village, typically checking in with parents during intake and as needed for support and logistics. I respect teens privacy and autonomy, and we’ll agree together on what is shared. I aim to promote positive communication directly from your teen to you, sometimes in sessions and sometimes outside of sessions.
Can I (the teen) say what I want to work on?
Absolutely. this is your space. We’ll talk about what matters to you, and you’ll help shape the goals of therapy. Usually therapy with teens combines meeting the teen wherever they’re at that day with goals predetermined with parents during intake, together.
What if I don’t feel comfortable talking right away?
That’s okay. You don’t have to tell me everything at once, and I won’t push beyond your comfort levels. We’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.
Can therapy help with school stress or college prep?
Definitely. A lot of teens I work with are juggling intense pressure from school, extracurriculars, or figuring out next steps. Therapy can help with managing stress, setting boundaries, organizing thoughts, and handling the emotional weight of it all.
What if there’s something serious going on?
If I ever become concerned about your safety, I’ll talk with you about what needs to be shared and we’ll make a plan together. I’m here to support, not to punish or panic.
How can therapy help teens long-term?
Teens who engage in therapy often leave with:
better coping strategies
stronger emotional awareness
improved confidence/self-esteem
more clarity about who they are and what they want
It’s about building tools now that they’ll carry into adulthood.
