Hi, I’m Allison. I believe therapy should feel human.
I know how vulnerable it can feel to sit down with someone new and start talking about the parts of yourself you usually keep hidden. I want therapy to feel like a space where you can exhale, be honest, and show up exactly as you are, even when what you’re bringing in feels messy, contradictory, or hard to explain.
I’m a warm, engaged, and conversational therapist. I’ll listen closely, ask questions, help you notice patterns, and gently challenge you when it might be useful. You won’t be left wondering what I’m thinking while you talk to a blank screen.

Finding the right therapist matters.
Therapy is a deeply personal experience. You’re being asked to talk about thoughts, feelings, relationships, and parts of yourself that you may not share anywhere else. Feeling safe and comfortable with the person on the other side of the screen matters.
I don’t believe “blank slate” therapy is especially useful. We’re both humans figuring things out, and that’s the energy I bring into our sessions. I’m thoughtful about what I share and why, but I also don’t want you to feel like you’re talking to a robot or like you’re the only real person in the room.
My hope is that therapy becomes a space where you feel understood, supported, and comfortable enough to explore more deeply. That relationship is where meaningful work can begin.
What you can expect from me
A place to be honest.
You don’t need to organize your thoughts, find the “right” words, or make what you’re feeling sound reasonable before bringing it into therapy.
Curiosity without judgment.
We’ll slow things down and get curious about what’s underneath your thoughts, patterns, and reactions (even the ones you wish you didn’t have).
Support and gentle challenge.
I’ll meet you with warmth and compassion while also helping you notice when fear, self-doubt, or old patterns may be keeping you stuck.
My approach to therapy
I lean most heavily on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). A lot of our work may involve helping you develop a different relationship with your thoughts and feelings so they have less power to determine how you see yourself or how you live your life.
We might practice noticing thoughts without automatically treating them as facts, making room for uncomfortable emotions, and reconnecting with what genuinely matters to you. The goal is to help you feel more able to make choices based on your values, even when anxiety, self-doubt, or uncertainty comes along for the ride.
I also weave in CBT to help us understand patterns between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors; mindfulness to help you stay connected to the present; and somatic work to notice what your body may be communicating. My approach is always person-centered, which means the work is shaped around you, your experiences, and what feels useful in that moment.

I need a creative outlet
I love designing therapy resources and finding ways to make mental-health information feel warmer, more useful, and more inviting.
Little things I love
A sweet treat on a patio is my Roman Empire. I could yap about reality TV, fantasy books, or trip planning all day. I also love, love, love going out for coffee.
